The X Factor judge Nick Grimshaw called Simon Cowell a ‘Bond baddie’
The 31-year-old DJ told Alan Carr that he knew he’d have a tricky time on the show, after replacing TV favourite Louis Walsh.

Nick Grimshaw has just admitted what we all knew – Simon Cowell is totally a Bond baddie in real life. “I wouldn’t get a word in edge-ways with you!”
Controller of Radio 1, Ben Cooper said: “I’m delighted to see Nick firmly established as the number one youth presenter in the country, and that Radio 1’s strategy of “listen, watch, share” is giving our young audience what they want, when they want it, on both a radio and a phone”.
“Now it’s got through to the fun bit on X Factor and the mentoring, so we go and hang out with the boys and figure out songs and figure out what they are good at and what they are going to wear on stage. And Anton was a no brainer, I love people that are passionate and that’s the thing about Anton – he never stops talking!”
Fellow judge Nick Grimshaw chose to bring Mason through to the live shows, alongside Che Chesterman and Sean Miley Moore.
“He is good though!” Was he really bad?’
Visibly amused, Simon then burst into laughter and replied: “I might rule that out, Alison”. He just argued with Simon Cowell, who starts arguments with everyone but no-one argues back.
However, he acknowledged Mason had made a mistake. “I think anyone would have got stick”.
Simon Cowell was less than impressed with Mason’s diva behaviour, but the head judge has admitted that all is forgiven. Simon loves him now, so hopefully everyone else will love him.

During the chat, Simon also commented on his recent dealings with controversial X Factor contestant Mason Noise. I thought, “Me and you are going to be friends”‘. “It is the funniest friendship in town”.
