Man’s post about traffic stop goes viral
A Tucson man was pulled over by Tucson Police Thursday morning and took to Facebook to publicly compliment the officers. He told the men he was carrying a concealed weapon on his right hip and that his wallet was also located in his right back pocket, near the gun.

“Hildreth said he followed the officers” instructions and got out of the vehicle so they could disarm him.
“They said, ‘Hey, you were really cool with us you didn’t give us any grief about your firearm or anything like that so we’re just going to let you off with a warning, ‘ and I was really appreciative of that and I felt that they had really professional conduct during that stop”, Hildreth said. According to certain social movements, I shouldn’t be alive right now because the police are allegedly out to kill minorities.
The officer pointed out that Hildreth’s registration card was out of date, but the vehicle registration is up-to-date. This is when the author begins thinking of how he’s going to pay the two infractions that the officers have him on. “Officer relieves me of my Glock and compliments the X300U I’m running on it. He also sees my military ID and I tell him I’m with the National Guard”.
Maybe…just maybe…that notion is bunk. When they came back, the officers returned with an exchange that would typically be deemed unusual between African-American men and police officers.
“I don’t believe that movement should be justified when they are calling for the murder of police officers,”Christie said”. Get that headlight fixed as soon as possible.’ I smile. “I was wearing a hoodie, and I had a gun…and here I am”.
Hildreth went on to thank the officers and the department as a whole for their professional contact.

“Police officers are people, too”, the Facebook post read. By far and large, most are good people and they’re not out to get you. “I’d like to spread the word about an example of men who earned their badges and exemplify what that badge stands for”, Hildreth concluded. This was the primary motivation for temporary disarmament. Hildreth continued in his post to thank the officers for their professionalism and service.
