Conor McGregor — ‘F**k Politics, F**k Religion’
Irish UFC star Conor McGregor has taken to Facebook to launch an attack on the those who have criticised his decision to wear a poppy with Remembrance Day looming.

‘I have the blood of many nations on my gloves.
A few Facebook users have responded to McGregor’s post criticising the UFC fighter for his strongly worded stance on the matter.
“You have a pint in your hand and a Celtic jersey on in your local”.
The comments prompted a storm of online reaction last night, but the Dublin fighter appears largely unbothered, tweeting afterwards to say, “F**k politics and f**k religion”.
But the Irishman hit back, saying he didn’t need “a stupid little flower” to justify his beliefs and ending “F*** you and the Queen”. “But honestly, I went into that fight and I beat Chad on one leg. After going through that adversity I feel like I have gained three new legs”.
“I just want to swing a few lefts and a few rights for a couple of hundred mill in peace”.
The poppy, a symbol of remembrance for soldiers who have died in war, has a certain amount of resonance for both Irish and English people.
McGregor responded by reaffirming his allegiance to Ireland with a rather blunt Facebook message riddled with expletives, the ending point being a stern “f-k you and the Queen”.
I mourn their deaths like every other decent person and if the poppy was a symbol only for the lost souls of World War I and II I would wear one.
