Two girls from a Stafford County high school were photographed wearing shirts, which appeared to show a racial slur.

The teen was charged with one count of threatening to bomb or damage a building and another of committing, conspiring and aiding and abetting acts of terrorism. He is being held at the Rappahannock Regional Detention Center.
The 15-year-old boy is accused of making the threats on Tuesday at Brooke Point High School in Stafford, about 45 miles southwest of Washington, D.C., Stafford County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Bill Kennedy said. They also didn’t find any written plan indicating that he was going to carry out the threats the next day.
Investigators say they believe the threats are a result of depression and anger by the student toward fellow students. Guns and rifles were found in the home, but were secured and locked. There was no evidence that there was a “manifesto” or any indication an actual attack was imminent, according to SCSO. “There are plans in place t educate the entire student body about this type of behavior, provide counseling if needed for any student, and to work with the entire community to ensure this type of action does not happen again”, said Mountain View High School Principal Dr. James Stemple. The parents called the school’s principal, who called law enforcement. None were missing. A search of the boy’s computer turned up no additional threats.
The Sheriff also said the parents were not aware of the alleged plot.
“We understand our community may have questions regarding these types of situations as they happen”.

Stafford County Public Schools’ superintendent said in a statement that the school system can’t comment on the ongoing investigation. “We appreciate the positive relationship we enjoy with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office and Sheriff Jett”.
