Dolphins’ Wake suffers season-ending torn Achilles tendon

Wake sacked Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady before the injury for his seventh sack of the game.

Wake was injured in the third quarter of the Dolphins’ 36-7 loss to the Patriots on Thursday.

It started – or, more accurately, didn’t start – with the offense that scored 41 first-half points last week against Houston but got shut out in the first half Thursday.

The New England Patriots next game is on Sunday November 8 against the Washington Redskins starting at 1:00pm on FOX.

“I didn’t play as mistake-free as I wanted to”, Gray said.

“He’s disappointed but he’s holding his head high”, Campbell said.

Miami Dolphins Pro Bowl defensive end Cameron Wake has been diagnosed with a torn Achilles and is out for the remainder of the season, according to reports Friday. Campbell was not sure how serious the injury was.

The Patriots are 7-0 for the second time in franchise history and first time since going 16-0 in 2007.

The Patriots scored in every quarter for the sixth straight game.

Lewis made a quick move with his back to Misi and left the helpless defender grasping for air and fall to the ground watching the New England speedster race by. He threw two interceptions and no TDs. “We had a short week and only had a few days of practice and guys just went out there and executed and bought into what the coaches were saying ‘€“ Coach [Bill] Belichick, and the Defensive Coordinator [Matt Patricia] and the coaches preaching, ‘€˜Just execute, ‘€™ and that’€™s what we went out there and did”.

DYNAMIC DION: Lewis returned after missing a game and the 5-foot-8 running back provided a spark. The latter touchdown was set up by Lewis, who kept that drive alive by converting a 3rd-and-16 with a 17-yard pass reception.

“We’re just playing man”, said Chung.

Tannehill led the Dolphins into the end zone to start the second half with Lamar Miller scoring on a 1-yard run. They allowed a decent amount of yardage (315 total), but showed to bend and not break as they limited the Dolphins to just one score. You know, we feed off of each other.

MR. MOTIVATION: The Dolphins beat up on teams that are 3-10 combined. “I looked forward to playing the leading team in our division and any time you get to play a divisional opponent”, he said.

If you want to upset the Patriots you better play them on the road. “Don’t forget it. I hope it eats away at them just like it’s eating away at me”.

MONEY KICK: Gostkowski extended his NFL-record consecutive extra points streak to 439 and had a tough kick into the wind to tie Vinatieri. And my favorite Dolphins snap screw-up (“Snapfu”) at Gillette since the field goal try in 2013 when the holder took the ball right in the facemask like Marcia Brady. Tannehill may never be great, but I think he can be good enough to win with if the organization surrounds him with enough talent. Young has made clear he is not the best fit for the Bears’ new 3-4 scheme as an outside linebacker, which makes him a prime trade candidate.

Thursday was not LeGarrette Blount’s night as he struggled to get anything going, but I wouldn’t be anxious especially looking back at his track record.
