Vallabhbhai Patel’s ideology and heritage can not be forgotten: Narendra Modi

South Eastern Railway observed the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” (National Unity Day) with due solemnity at SE Railway Headquarters, Garden Reach today.

“Sardar Patel’s heritage can not be forgotten”. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be flagging off the “The Run for Unity”. “This effort went on under strict eye of Sardar Patel and it was Gandhi ji who noted and appreciated the effort”. Registrar of the varsity Dr. Tilak Raj along with Dr. SK Aggarwal, Dean, Students Welfare also paid floral tributes to Sardar Patel.

“Sardar Patel as mayor of Ahmedabad had sought 50% reservation for women”.

Taking a dig at the Congress party and the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty, Modi stated that the one thing that stands out about Patel is that he inspires the thought that there is no family name or member linked to his legacy.

“Ekta se chalne wala rashtra hi humari sabse badi shakti hain”.

“Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat is a yojana we are planning to start”.

The Prime Minister pitched the Ek Bharat, Shresth Bharat initiative saying it was the nation’s responsibility to make India a great nation, just as Patel had united the country.

“In 2016 each faculty in Haryana may have Tamil as a language”.

He said functions in the memory of Sardar Patel would be organized in the entire state tomorrow.

He will also set off a “Run for Unity” in which over 10,000 youth from schools, colleges, National Cadet Corps (NCC), National Service Scheme (NSS), and athletes are expected to participate.
