Trick-or-Treating Hours Set in Beverly for Saturday

Over the next three days, there will be plenty of Halloween-related or alternative activities for area children to enjoy, from traditional trick or treating to special events and parties.

If you have a younger child who you’re taking out by yourself, you can take a more proactive approach. Kids can come and do a few trick or treating between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday night, but also take in a Halloween movie at 4 p.m., 5 p.m. or 6 p.m.

Safe kids Grand Forks recommends trick-or-treaters to be safe, be seen.

Have children avoid wearing eye makeup or masks, which will restrict their vision. Tell your kids to never accept a ride or go anywhere with a stranger.

Keep flammable items, such as jack-o-lanterns, away from small children, pets and flammable materials.

Make sure all children wear reflective clothing and carry a glow stick when out at dusk and at night.

“The kids are excited, but first parents need to make sure their kids know what to do in order to have fun and stay safe”.

Do not eat treats until they have been inspected by an adult. And they should stay on well-lit streets, police officials say.

Drivers, be extra cautious of the increased amount of people out and about. If you attend a Halloween party that includes alcohol, make sure you have a sober, designated driver for the trip home.

Halloween is one of the most anticipated nights of the year for kids.
