‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 6 Airdate, Major Spoilers: When Will ‘GOT’ Premiere
Beginning on February 14, those two hours will be occupied by returning comedies Girls and Togetherness, plus the debut of Martin Scorsese’s period drama Vinyl. The following week ” Girls” and ” Togetherness” will air after “Vinyl”, filling out HBO’s Sunday night schedule for presumably 10 weeks. What are your predictions about “Game of Thrones” (GOT) Season 6.

HBO will be hoping all three shows can help to hold down the ship as the network steers towards the 2016 spring premieres of marque titles Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley, and Veep. HBO already having a show to fill the time slot is proof enough that there was scheduling wiggle room, and George R.R. Martin has been hard at work to get upcoming book The Winds of Winter ready for the bookshelves.
But once you do the math and realize that the new season won’t start until late April, or even very early May, the next question becomes, “Why?” That sounds great, until the Internet did the math and realized that run would push a “Game of Thrones” Season 6 premiere as far back as April 24. Mick Jagger’s son James Jagger will also continue his blooming acting career in the music drama, after starring in “Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll” in 2010 and “Stealing Summers’ in 2011”. One of the most stressful aspects of being a Game of Thrones fan, however, comes from the fact that hiatuses between seasons always feel much too long.
The latest from Boardwalk Empire’s Terence Winter, Vinyl will be first on the docket.

And if that wasn’t enough, Girls and Togetherness will return for their respective fifth and second seasons the following week, on Sunday, February 21.
