“I’m super excited, of course, [co-star] Gal Gadot is super talented [and] Patty Jenkins will direct the film”.

It has been reported that actor Chris Pine has officially stated that he is to join Gal Gadot on the upcoming film Wonder Woman. There have also been other rumors, such as Pine being one of the Green Lanterns in “Green Lantern Corp.”, which means he could be playing the early onset of a much bigger role for other films in the DC Cinematic Universe.

Pine is expected to play Wonder Woman’s traditional love interest, Steve Trevor. “I’m on a team with this intelligent, beautiful, strong woman to destroy evil and save humanity-the usual”. A few examples of these gods include Hercules and Hermes (the messenger god). But Pine wound up going with “Wonder Woman” and appears very content with his choice. But he did reveal that director Patty Jenkins (Monster) is shooting on film, which is somewhat unusual for a superhero film (although David Ayer is doing the same for Suicide Squad).

Another controversial choice that the filmmakers made is the overall look of Wonder Woman’s costume, which has become iconic over the character’s long history.

It has been forty years since the world was introduced to Lynda Carter as “Wonder Woman”, whose television mantle on female empowerment may have finally found a new successor with Melissa Benoist as CBS’ “Supergirl”, who made a heroic debut with 13 million viewers on Monday.

Gadot will first portray Wonder Woman, aka Diana Prince, in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and return to star in the standalone movie.
