United faced City; Newcastle went to Sunderland, and West Ham entertained Chelsea for the last time at the Boleyn Ground. It’s all insane and it’s all attractive to watch. “You need to win these games for the fans”.
“Those three weeks that you get [from not playing in the Capital One Cup], the training sessions with the manager, fresh for the weekend”.
The man who likes to refer to himself as the Special One had an extraordinarily ordinary weekend. He will have to score another four consecutive goals to beat Van Nistelrooy’s record of 10. He joins the likes of Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Daniel Sturridge, Ian Wright, Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Emmanuel Adebayor and Mark Stein in that seven-goal club.

“The first half was probably the best 45 minutes I have seen anywhere in the Premier League this season”, Neville wrote in his Daily Telegraph column. For a while, it looked like Theo Walcott had taken Olivier Giroud’s place as Arsenal’s starting center forward.
Manchester City blew past Crystal Palace with a 4-1 win, thanks to goals from Wilfried Bony, Kevin De Bruyne, Kelechi Iheanacho (who also scored against Palace in the Premier League this season), and a Yaya Toure penalty.
Manchester City, who are the favourites to win the trophy, have been given a home tie against Steve Bruce’s Hull City.
Harry Kane scored a hat trick as Tottenham came from behind to thrash Bournemouth 5-1. Expect them to pile more misery on Villa.

Spurs should be feeling pretty good right now.
