Porsche announces new Macan GTS; prices start at $67200

The twin-turbo 3.0 liter V6-powered SUV gets a 20 horsepower boost over the S (340 to 360), or the same jump seen in the Cayenne S to GTS.

The Porsche Macan GTS will sport high-gloss and matte black accents on the lower body and grille, alongside stealthy GTS badging on the back. The BMW X4 M40i accelerates in less than five seconds to 62 miles per hour and can reach a top speed of 155 miles per hour. Stronger springs and stabilizers, increased camber on the front axle, the adaptive dampers specifically tuned to M Performance specifications and the BMW xDrive four wheel drive system with its rear wheel-drive characteristics including Performance Control, ensure a neutral self-steering response as well as a reduced roll tendency.

Air suspension, including Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), comes standard on the Macan GTS. These parameters help optimally tune the vehicle for virtually any driving condition. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia since 1998, PCNA is also home to the first Porsche Experience Center in North America featuring a module-based 1.6 mile driver development track, business center, human performance center, and fine dining restaurant.

The GTS treatment in the Macan is just about on par with the rest of the Porsche lineup too. Porsche Connect Plus is available for the PCM with Navigation system.
