Carly Fiorina Calls Hillary Clinton ‘Demonstrably Bad For Women’ At GOP Debate
But as she heads to Round 3 in Boulder, Colo., this week, there is perhaps more pressure on her than ever before.

The rest you can rank yourself, and I’d hate to have to decide if Rand Paul is worse than Marco Rubio. “She’s able to answer questions and keep her answers concise and she’s willing to attack the others on the stage”.
Fiorina, who served as a surrogate for Mitt Romney’s during his 2012 presidential run, recycles a misleading talking point from that unsuccessful campaign – but oddly, she never double-checked the math. The Romney campaign calculated these figures by comparing the decline in the number of all nonfarm employees from January 2009 to March 2012 with the decline in jobs held by women in that period. Fiorina is a more disciplined and polished campaigner. “The debate is essential because without a good debate performance she’s history”, said Republican strategist John Feehery.
She has been actively focused on those early states, and her stump schedule is demanding enough to wear out the fittest of contenders. It was Fiorina’s chance to stand out from the crowd of male candidates in Colorado, but it’s clear she has her eyes on her potential Democratic opponent. Last week, she also campaigned in the Sunshine State.
Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina boasted, “I am Hillary Clinton’s worst nightmare”. We get access to the candidates afterwards, in Spin Alley-if they choose to come-and a nice line in complimentary snacks along with the big flat screens and free Wi-Fi. But her credentials in that regard aren’t quite pure.
In many ways, this crossover is what makes her so appealing. Even Jeb Bush uttered the words “radically changed”.
But that dynamic also puts her in a tough spot. But he enters this debate amid signs that he is losing his lead to another outsider candidate, Carson.
The Post didn’t say Fiorina was not a secretary, but instead highlighted that her privileged upbringing and elite education were left out of Fiorina’s “rags to riches, only-in-America” campaign story of being a simple secretary who would later become CEO of a tech company. “I will run on my record all day long”.
Comments like that may create an opening for Fiorina, a more polished, slightly more seasoned campaigner than Trump or Carson.
GOP consultant Katie Packer said there were few expectations on Fiorina in the first two debates.
Fiorina earned plenty of media attention after the Simi Valley debate, but it was centered on a controversy that ultimately had a negative impact.
What did you think of the latest Republican debate? She also opposes Planned Parenthood but does think birth control should be available over the counter. She said that, deep down, viewers want to see the two female candidates go head-to-head in a debate. To get that, you would need to look at the entire span of the recession. She had $5.5 million in cash on hand as of September 30. She’s working like a President has to work rather than a candidate, and those are two very different things. “She had a real opportunity to shine”, Packer said.
I’ve been impressed with Fiorina from the beginning, finding myself particularly admiring her debate style, command of the issues and ability to take the battle to her opponents without looking “scary crazy” to political neophytes among the voters.
The private and public sectors battle it out Wednesday as Republican presidential candidates from the business and political worlds meet for their third debate. “It is of no importance”, she said.

As a starting principle, “a lot of people would agree with that”, said Joseph Cordes, an economics professor at George Washington University and former director of the Congressional Budget Office. “Neither Trump nor Carson have great debating skills”.
