Adele’s ‘Hello’ Is Rapidly Reaching 100 Million YouTube Views
In that sense it seems Adele’s label XL Recordings, may not have been able to resist the temptation to grab at what was on offer – industry dominance and the returns that come with it. Her new album will be coming out on November 20 as previously announced by the singer herself via her Instagram account. She snatched the record from previous holder, Taylor Swift for her video for “Bad Blood”.

Today, YouTube posted a few eye-opening statistics on its official blog, and it turns out that the video for Hello was being streamed over one million times an hour over its first 48 hours online. WOW.
During an episode of the U.K.’s “The X Factor”, a 30-second Adele clip suddenly aired without any other promotion and/or explanation.
Adele’s Hello appears to have become the second-fastest video to reach 100m YouTube views in history.
On average the video was getting one million views per hour during the first two days, but at one point it peaked at 1.6m in a single hour.

No matter the reason for the popularity of “Hello”, the video has rocketed off to a record-breaking start on YouTube.

Adele’s just-released video for “Hello” is rapidly crossing big YouTube thresholds, including a record-setting 23.2 million views in its first day.
At the time of publishing this article, Adele’s “Hello” has been viewed over 113 million times.

Despite the album selling millions of copies around the world, 2011 album “21” has also shot up the charts after the release of “Hello”.
