The university has canceled public services for Sunday and will make counselors available for students. Details surrounding the shooting have not be released, including the identities of the student victims.
The university said the campus was on full lockdown after the 1:20 a.m. shooting in a lot near two residence halls, Wilson Hall and Gleason-Hairston Terrace.
The campus was on lockdown for greater than three hours, from 1:30 a.m.to four:50 a.m.
We can confirm that there has been one fatality and one injured individual.
CNN has reached out to campus police but has not received a reply.
And people who find themselves not college students, school or employees are requested to stay off campus.
