Police responded to an emergency call of shots fired and hunted down the gunman, who fired shots at them before they returned fire, according El Paso County Sheriff’s Office. When local authorities arrived at the scene, they were met with chaos. “And in addition to these three victims, the suspect is also deceased”. The conditions of those victims were not available. However, the shooting did not stop there. I guess he was the guy that had all the weapons.
Witnesses described a chaotic scene as the suspect went down the street with a rifle.
Police searched for a possible shooter along Platte. That is when the suspect reportedly began firing at officers.
That’s when he saw the gunfire exchange between the man and police.
Abshire said he ran to the street and followed the man and called police.
Witnesses told KRDO that the suspect lit a home in the area on fire.
“What I saw was he kind of, like, spun around and [police] yelled, ‘Drop it, ‘ and he kind of went to aim and that’s when they shot him down”, Nicks said.
No motive has been released. According to ABC-7, there is even a possibility that the shooting was “random.”

The shootings and the suspect’s shootout with police in front of a Wendy’s restaurant unfolded about a mile from the U.S. Olympic Training Center in the central Colorado town. However, definitive details about the shooting are still scarce.
