I don’t want to be on ‘boring’ John Oliver show

The Republican candidate claimed that John Oliver and the rest of the “Last Week Tonight” crew invited him to appear on the show, but he declined. I don’t really care about him in any capacity.

The comic added that Trump is “an open book … that doesn’t have that many interesting words in it”.

Trump is incredibly active on Twitter despite his busy schedule – he didn’t even take Halloween off, instead giving a speech at a rally – so maybe in the haze of his dozens of direct replies and responses, he mixed up John Oliver’s show with another. “American democracy looks like a 4-year-old’s birthday party”.

Oliver said he is frustrated by the amount of coverage even years before elections actually happen.

“It’s an extremely long process”, Oliver said. Despite what the Presidential candidate may say, it feels at the moment like the needle is clearly pointed towards “no” on this one.

OLIVER: Everywhere. And there’s a lot of balloons involved.

“A lot of debates. A lot of talking without a great deal being said”. “Our entry is rarely someone saying something stupid”.

Trump, who is more than in-tune with what’s being said about him in the news, got wind of what Oliver said about him.

“I’m not running against any of the people running for president, I’m running for president”.

“That is generally what we look toward: things that have not been covered too much, but are inherently ridiculous”, he said.
