After a a brief sneak peak, AMC debuted the trailer for the highly anticipated Preacher series during Sunday evening’s extra-long episode of The Walking Dead. The full trailer will premiere during “The Walking Dead” on November 1, AceShowbiz reports.
Preacher revolves around Jesse Custer, a conflicted Preacher in a small Texas town who merges with a creature that has escaped from heaven and develops the ability to make anyone do anything he says.
Developed for television by Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg (This Is the End, Superbad), as well as showrunner Sam Catlin (Breaking Bad), the series is an adaptation of Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s popular Vertigo Comics Preacher title. With the release of the show’s first trailer, we’ve got a lot to look forward to.
It’s called PREACHER, and it’s based on the comic series by author Garth Ennis. Sure, the clip succeeded more clearly in introducing our hero Reverend Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper) and his sidekick Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun). “He finds himself the only person capable of tracking God down, demanding answers, and making Him answer for His dereliction of duty”.
