Brooke Baldwin: CNN anchor blasts View ladies for dissing Carly Fiorina’s looks

CNN host Brooke Baldwin did not take kindly to the hosts of ABC’s “The View” launching an attack on GOP hopeful Carly Fiorina’s looks.

Hasselbeck called such behavior “faux feminism”, going on to explain that its practitioners “support all women only if they agree exactly with what we say, only if their politics align with mine and only if they support every single thing that I’ve laid out so far”. “Not just as a journalist, but as a woman”, Baldwin said while introducing the clip.

Another co-host, Joy Behar, chimed in, saying she wished “Smiling Fiorina” was a Halloween mask.

I can’t look at Carly Fiorina and think of anything but her practicing how to smile in front of a mirror for the past 3 weeks.

Baldwin was not at all amused by these remarks.

In an interview with Rolling Stone earlier this year, Trump said that Fiorina’s face was un-presidential.

The Post didn’t say Fiorina was not a secretary, but instead highlighted that her privileged upbringing and elite education were left out of Fiorina’s “rags to riches, only-in-America” campaign story of being a simple secretary who would later become CEO of a tech company. The comments clearly connected with Trump’s antipathy toward women, or so the co-hosts hoped viewers would think. “As a comic, she means demented”, she said. So do I. I get it. How do I know I’m not alone?

Without saying another word, Baldwin played an older clip from The View, showing Behar confronting Trump after he said of Fiorina, “Look at that face. It’d give me nightmares”, Collins said.
