Carly Fiorina: Pro-Abortion Hillary Clinton is “Demonstrably Bad for Women”

Three million women have fallen into poverty under this administration.

“Whose economy is she talking about?” That’s very arbitrary, and it certainly doesn’t cover Obama’s entire first term. But by the time he took the oath of office a second time, his jobs record was a net victor, both for men and women. Morally wrong notions that jab a thumb into the eye of our cherished rights, hard for a few to detect because they seem aimed at someone else. Romney’s website also hosted the claim.

“We saved 80,000 jobs and we went on to grow to 160,000 jobs, and scores of technology companies literally went out of business-like Gateway-taking all their jobs with them”, said Fiorina.

How a woman can live the life she chooses if she can’t even choose what happens to her own body is beyond me, but Fiorina holds herself up as proof that any woman can – because she did. But being president of the United States is very different from being a gifted surgeon, a real estate mogul or a technology executive and being an informed citizen is more than just surface-level. In an October 23, 2006, cover story in Time magazine, Joe Klein oozed about Obama’s parentage: “He told the story in brilliant, painful detail in his first book, Dreams from My Father, which may be the best-written memoir ever produced by an American politician”. Then moderators rained on his parade again by pointing out that it would take a 40 percent reduction in government spending to pull it off. Good luck with that one, Carson…

Many Republicans have criticized Hillary Clinton for accepting many paid speaking engagements as she approached the launch of her presidential campaign. Ten leading contenders will debate Wednesday for two hours, starting at 5 p.m., at the University of Colorado’s Coors Events Center.

To the surprise of many global observers, Putin’s offer and Obama’s public and private comments were well received in the U.S. Indeed, Americans across the political spectrum rushed to sign a petition in support of political asylum and/or extradition.

Here were five of the top claims during the debate. For example, feminist writer Amanda Marcotte speaks for many in the movement when she declares, “Opponents of legal abortion can’t be feminists”. However, no independent organizations have been able to verify that such a video exists.

A big problem with the claim in 2012 was that it cherry-picked the starting date for assessing Obama’s jobs track record. Ninety-two percent is a cherry-picked number. During that time, the women job numbers did a U-turn and became a net gain. “According to government figures and industry analyses, median-income households have lost nearly $1,300 after inflation, while the prices of food, health care and college tuition have risen almost twice as fast as inflation”.

We used the January 2009 to January 2013 timeframe to be consistent with the original Republican framing of the critique of Obama’s economic policies. The subhead of the Politico article sums up an important aspect of Fiorina’s new brand of feminism: “Step One: Less Whining”.

That’s an increase of over 400,000 working females in Obama’s first term. Having been disillusioned by the past, we’re so preoccupied with maintaining an appearance of being “in-the-know” that most of us haven’t spent time to really understand the intricacies of the presidential campaigns and politics.

Pulitzer-prize winning watchdog site PolitiFact gives the stat, which was also trotted out in 2012 by the Romney campaign, a “mostly false” rating. The numbers are derived from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
