Dublin attack: Man dies after stabbing at flats complex

Gardaí arrested a 29-year-old man in relation to the investigation and he will appear before Swords District Court.

It is believed that Lorcan attempted to break up a fight outside the Oliver Bond Flats, South Inner City.

A 21-year-old man has died after being stabbed in Dublin.

The injured man was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

Five separate investigations have been launched following several knife attacks in Dublin on the night of Saturday and into Sunday morning.

Gardaí from Blanchardstown are investigating the stabbing but no arrests have yet been made.

Investigators say a number of people were involved in the public order incident.

Two other men sustained minor injuries.

A 19-year-old man was stabbed in the early hours of yesterday morning, as he was being treated for other injuries at the hospital.

In an unrelated attack, a teenager has been left with “scars for life” after being stabbed in the face in Beaumont Hospital’s Accident and Emergency department.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. “The incident was managed and brought under control by gardai and assisted by Beaumont security staff”.
