NetCom says Sony Z3+ and Xperia E4G enter June top ten

A benchmark of the alleged Sony Xperia Z4 Compact was recently leaked and was quickly picked up by several tech sites.

Meanwhile, there have been recent reports that the Sony Xperia Z4 Compact, the smaller variant of the company’s latest flagship smartphone, will be released before the end of the year following sightings of leaked specifications of the device, according to the Phone Arena.

The Galaxy S5 fell to sixth position from fifth, and the new Xperia E4G entered the rankings in seventh place.

Sony Xperia Z4 or Z3+ will retain its unique Omnibalance style, 6.9mm thickness, a 144g glass-and-aluminium body, a 5.2-inch 1920 x 1080 display, despite early rumors hinting the screen would be 5.5 inches. Benchmarking sites GeekBench and GFXBench. The display quality of the new phone which is 1080p is definitely better than that of the Z3 Compact, which was only at 720p.

Other specifications in the handset include an octa core MediaTek MT6795 processor and 3GB of RAM, the handset will also comes with 16GB of built in storage.

It seems that the rear camera will be kept the same (or similar) with a 20.7 megapixel shooter, but if these specs are to be believed the Z4 Compact could prove to be an excellent “selfie” camera, as the front-facing snapper has been upgraded to 13 megapixels. The device will come running on Android Lollipop 5.0 out of the box.

There are no details yet regarding the official release date of the Sony Xperia Z4 Compact smartphone, but based on its model number, it could be coming out in India in the coming days.

The slip in the rankings did not surprise Sony any longer since immediately after the release of the Xperia Z4, consumers already started complaining about the device overheating at times, which was the same problem with the worldwide variant of the Sony Xperia Z3+ when it was launched a year ago.
