Rabin, who headed the victorious Israeli armed forces in the 1967 Six-Day War, as premier chose instead the path of peace, sharing the 1994 Nobel Prize with domestic rival Shimon Peres and Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat for their roles in forging the Oslo peace accords.
To top it all, and encouraged by the silence of the global community, by the complacency of many Arab leaders, and by the intra Arab conflict, those religiously motivated Zionist Jews, in an attempt to assert their religious myths, are trying to claim the Islamic religious places as their own. Israel must first cease all settlement activity, then declare that they are ready to end occupation, and ready to release the more than 7,000 Palestinian prisoners.
“They proposed this to us and we totally rejected it, informing the Israeli side that it was the right of the Palestinian people to dignify their martyrs as they wish”, Civil Affairs Minister Hussein Al-Sheikh told Reuters.
“There is a feeling that a sort of relationship of trust was built between Arafat and Rabin, but it was, on the whole, very fragile”, she said.
In a one-minute video recorded on Thursday by a resident of the Aida refugee camp in the West Bank, an Israeli border officer speaking in Arabic broadcasts the message via a loudspeaker as an Israeli jeep drives through the street. Second and third generation students whose grandparents and great-grandparents fled or were forced from their towns in Palestine still carry the burden, the stories, the anger and the strong sense of the right of return.
The Israeli army issued at least 14 demolition notices to Palestinians in Jerusalem and the West Bank and have demolished three houses in Jerusalem and another in Hebron. Several ministers openly advocate annexing much of the West Bank, territory that Palestinians want for their future state. Gaza’s beaches were a favorite vacation spot for young Israelis.
Hebron is the microcosm of the military’s system of control throughout the entire West Bank. They said he attacked them with a knife. “As this use of force has continued, the access of education for Palestinians has been hard”. Also, sixty-nine Palestinians have died by Israeli fire, including 43 who Israel says were involved in attacks or attempted attacks.
An Israeli police spokesperson could not be reached for comment on either incident. Secretary of State John Kerry (Kohn, a Jew) travelled to Amman, Jordan to meet the Jordanian King, Netanyahu and Abbas to plan a bailout for Netanyahu. Perhaps because they have not known the tragedy and horror of previous intifadas, a growing number of youth in Palestine see no alternative but to rise up against Israel and even against the Palestinian government, which they see as aiding the oppressors.
The random nature of the attacks, and the fact that most of the assailants were apparently acting alone, has made it harder for Israeli security forces to react.
The Palestinian struggle for legitimacy has been embodied in one phrase – intifada – that is supposed to lead to global Palestinian redemption. They know what it means to have opportunity for economic prosperity. Corruption in the PA is deep down to its core.

Being aware of that process helps one attend to the instrumentality of those cameras in subjugating Palestinians and counteracting the Israeli gaze. And unlike these more recent items on the worldwide agenda, it does not pose an immediate threat to global security. Academic boycott of Israeli universities, and Western MPs’ and law makers’ reprehensions of Israeli ambassadors for their government’s behavior are on the rise. It is a situation that breeds terrorism and violence out of a sense of hopelessness.
