Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai record best-ever monthly sales in Oct

The carmaker’s plant sales in China, its largest market by volume, climbed 8.5 per cent last month from a year earlier, according to an e-mailed statement on Monday. MSI Executive Director Marketing and Sales R S Kalsi told PTI. Both categories – premium compact and utility vehicles – posted growth of 37.7 per cent (at 51,048) and 56.5 per cent (9,435), respectively.
In what can be seen as a stellar month for most automakers, Hyundai Motor India has recorded its highest-ever domestic sales of 47,015 units and exports of 14,777 units with cumulative sales of 61,792 units for the month of October 2015. Their best selling auto for the month was City – 7,022 units followed by Amaze – 6,971 units, Jazz – 4,496 units, Brio – 820 units, Mobilio – 770 units and CR-V – 87 units. At Mahindra we are happy with our performance during October 2015, which has witnessed a positive growth of 20% backed by excellent response garnered from the recently launched TUV300 as well as other brands such as XUV500, Scorpio, Bolero and pickups.
Their second best-selling model is the cee’d model family, with 7,227 units sold putting its year-on-year sales up by 3.3 percent.

Sales of two-wheelers, which have been under pressure in recent months, too rose by around 11 per cent to 11,49,992 units.
