Manchester United reportedly back in for Bale (yet again…)
Manchester United are planning to rekindle their long-standing interest in Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale and lure him back to the Premier League, according to a report in The Sunday People.

It is understood Bale is still the number one target for United and boss Louis van Gaal with transfer negotiator Ed Woodward committed to going in for the 26-year-old again. However, with United’s extensive financial resources, Woodward has continued to monitor Bale’s progress at the Bernabeu and, following fresh reports of unrest in the Spanish capital, United feel encouraged to make another approach.
Manchester United have been the only club thus far to be linked with the pacey winger, but the Bavarians are reportedly looking for Bale in order to replace Arjen Robben.
United have been interested in the Welsh Winger since he left Tottenham Hotspur for Real Madrid, while it was believed that the Red Devils launched a late bid for the player before he left for Spain. But United’s assistant convinced the 16-year-old to stay at Old Trafford.
There is no mention in the report as to where Bale would play but it’s likely he would be given a central role rather than pushed out wide.

“You would have to go out and sign a Gareth Bale, Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez or Neymar to turn this United team around and those players simply are not available”, Redknapp told Daily Telegraph.
