Nintendo is set to soon reveal its first mobile games under its partnership with Japanese mobile company DENA, while its next console, the NX, will break cover a few time next year. To say the Wii U has been a disappointment is an understatement. This is good news considering how Nintendo had recently lost Satoru Iwata last July, but it seems like the company is in good spirits again. Meanwhile Super Mario Maker, which launched in September, has sold 1.88m already.

In comparison, the Dreamcast sold 10.6 million units in its lifetime. “Splatoon” sales are also up, reaching 2.42 million units being sold. However, even huge Nintendo fans have to realize that the fact that it took the Wii U three years to surpass the sales of the failure that was the Dreamcast is simply embarrassing. This is likely due to the lack of any major games coming to the platform. But whether Nintendo releases a new console or sticks with the Wii U, we want to see these eight franchises make a comeback. It is expected too that the super-hit brawling game, Super Smash Bros. Nintendo’s new console will produce brilliant high-definition graphics and new gameplay opportunities.

That is a lot to claim, but we do know that with the NX, Nintendo is really trying to stretch their potential.
