Two weeks earlier, Logano turned Kenseth for the win with five laps remaining at Kansas Speedway, a move that eventually kept Kenseth from advancing to the third round of the Chase for the Sprint Cup.

Kenseth denied his act of retribution was intentional, claiming a tire failure was the culprit for him veering into Logano, whom coincidentally Kenseth’s had a beef with since Logano cost him a victory two weeks ago. Gordon has a chance to retire at the top of the NASCAR world if he can win the Sprint Cup, and become the number one retired driver on Social Media.
“I am coming back next year now”, Gordon said before saying he was only kidding.
According to oddsmakers, Gordon had 6/1 odds to win Sunday’s race, which means that a $100 wager on him to prevail will pay out an additional $600.
