The award winning, world class architects were so moved by Queen Bey’s greyscale, artistic clip for a song from her 2013 album XO that they push the boundaries aesthetically with their gravity-defying, twisted building.

Architecture firm Elenberg Fraser has reportedly been engaged to build a skyscraper at 134 Spencer Street in Melbourne, with a silhouette that’s inspired by Beyonce, or more specifically her music video “Ghost“. Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is one of those rare icons who has been able to transcend her art form, and apply her celebrity toward any number of other lofty pursuits, inspiring legions of devoted fans along the way.
Parametric modelling – a computer-aided design – allows complex shapes to be created in response to data limitations, creating a unique form and undulating facade.
In a press release, architecture firm described the Premier Tower’s complex “vertical cantilever” form which will give “the best results in terms of structural dispersion, frequency oscillation and wind requirements”.

The 78-story building is set to include apartments, a hotel, and retail stores.
The project is being funded by Singapore real estate tycoon Koh Wee Meng’s Fragrance Group.

The aim is to eventually replan the entire precinct, whilst also respecting its heritage buildings. No word on the Tower’s estimated completion date, according to The Verge’s Monday (July 6) story.
