When the Royals last won the World Series, it required a historic comeback for the ages in 1985.
The 2.3 mile-long parade starts at 12:00 p.m. The parade steps off on Grand Boulevard between the Sprint Center and the Kansas City Power & Light District and heads north to Ninth Street.
“It was a pretty exciting moment, especially when the Giants wanted to include this note: ‘Have fun planning the parade – and enjoy the ride!'”
Minsky’s says the pizzas were delivered within an hour of the Giants placing the order. Though he was born in New Jersey, Rudd spent most of his childhood in Kansas, so he was raised a Royals fan. Thank you, Kansas City Royals, for one hell of a season! The Red Sox recognized that.
Whatever their motivation, you have to tip your hat to the San Francisco Giants for what must rank among the classiest moves in the sports world today.
