Watch as a parachute saves a plane from crashing

A small plane made an unusual crash landing in Fayetteville this morning. The website Flightaware.com, which tracks flights, showed the plane had traveled beyond Fayetteville, then circled back.

“Immediately after takeoff, they started experiencing oil pressure loss”, Stout said.

Charles Holenchick, a second eyewitness of the crash, said he was outside when he noticed the plane drifting over the high school.

She said: “The men were injured but able to make it out of the plane on their own It was a small two seater plane”. Boulevard, resulting in minor injuries.

According to the Department’s Twitter, all occupants are out of the plane.

The driver of the pickup truck was 30-year-old Shakemia Harris.

Fayetteville police said the single-engine, fixed-wing Cirrus airplane piloted by Bill Simon, 56, the former chief executive officer of Walmart US, experienced oil pressure problems shortly after taking off from Bentonville, Arkansas, bound for Waco, Texas.

Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard remained blocked in both directions from around Hill Avenue to Razorback Road just after 11 a.m. Authorities are awaiting direction from the FAA on whether to move the plane or leave it in place, Stout said.
