“We have a genuine care for each other and he’s our brother”, Saints rookie linebacker Stephone Anthony said.

The hard-hitting violence of the National Football League certainly was on display Sunday. We as coaches do. Our players do. It really doesn’t matter how hard you’re competing, everything kind of stops when something like that happens. I thought [Cowboys coach] Jason Garrett could have done a better job on that.

“Ricardo Lockette underwent successful neck surgery this afternoon at the Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas”, reads a statement from the team.

When asked if Lockette might play again this season on KIRO-AM AM Seattle, head coach Pete Carroll nearly immediately shot it down, leaving many to wonder if it’s not just this season Carroll is referring to.

Lockette was running down the field and appeared to be engaged with another Dallas Cowboys player before he turned and then ran into a block by safety Jeff Heath. Of the two targets in the first half, Bryant didn’t have a chance on either as Sherman easily broke up both plays. If you were just watching the broadcast, you might have heard about Irving overcoming the odds to make the pros after starting only eight games at Iowa State.

Heath can expect a fine this week.

Well, the good news is that, per the Seahawks, everything is going well so far for the Seattle wide receiver. “We are certainly getting a lot of help throughout the rest of the division”, owner Jerry Jones said.

The Seattle Seahawks, as the two-time defending NFC champs often do, rode their tenacious defense and an efficient late-game drive engineered by Russell Wilson to beat the Cowboys 13-12 at AT&T Stadium. The Seahawks called a timeout prior to Bailey’s attempt. “The timeout should not have been granted”. Later in the fourth quarter, Dallas’ David Irving blocked Seattle’s 47-yard field goal attempt with 8:59 to play.

-Quarterback Tony Romo will take a step in the process of returning from a fractured collarbone this week by practicing on a limited basis for the first time since September 20. “And afterwards, he seemed like he was good and we anticipate him to be able to practice on Wednesday and have a full week this week”.

Dez Bryant, who returned to the football field for the first time since breaking his right foot during the Dallas Cowboys’ season opener, did not have a huge game, catching a pair of passes for 12 yards.
