Chudzinski has been working under Chuck Pagano in Indianapolis for the last two seasons, and has now become the new offensive coordinator for the Colts, replacing Pep Hamilton.

The tipping point was Monday night’s 29-26 overtime loss at Carolina. Not only are they sitting on a 3-5 record, Indianapolis has yet to win a game outside of the AFC South. Being in a really bad division is the only reason why the Colts are in first place.
An underachieving, error-prone offense now is in the hands of associate head coach Rob Chudzinski. “Because of this we’ve chose to go in a different direction and relieve Pep Hamilton of his duties as offensive coordinator”, Pagano said. “It has been good for us and it got Andrew going, it got him in a rhythm, and we were able to make a few plays and put a few points on the board”.
He has been the offensive coordinator for the Hurricanes in the college ranks in addition to serving in that capacity with the NFL’s Browns and Panthers.
Hamilton deserves a few blame for the Colts’ offensive struggles, but the team’s overall problems this season can be blamed on many people. The Colts are now in the midst of their first three-game losing streak with quarterback Andrew Luck, coach Chuck Pagano and general manager Ryan Grigson.
There were even talks that he might be elevated by the Indianapolis Colts this season to see if he could take over in the long run when Chuck Pagano inevitably leaves town at the end of the season as expected.
Arkin was in his second go-round on the Colts’ practice squad this season after his latest signing with the team on October 26.
Hamilton was the easiest to fire at this point in the season.
“He gets us prepared and we go out there and play football”, Mathis told Omnisport. Expectations were heightened after the AFC Championship Game, and the Colts may suffer the indignity of winning the AFC South at 6-10 if things continue.
Luck is broken, there’s no offensive line and it was probably not Pep’s decision to draft Philip Dorsett in the first round when there were glaring needs elsewhere and plenty of prospects available that could have filled those needs. With the Panthers, he worked closely with Cam Newton during the No. 1 pick’s rookie season, and developed a power-running offense that produced three running backs with at least 700 yards for the first time in National Football League history.
