Rousey: Holm will struggle with fame

“It would take away from her quality of life”.

Last week, Rousey claimed Holm would “be happier” if she loses their fight.

She continued: “This kind of an environment is not what Holly would like”. If she shows her boxing skills against the formidable boxing opponent, Dela Hoya’s talk with Rousey regarding her boxing debut could be sooner. Even though I do a sport where I get punched in the face for a living, if your teeth hit my teeth more than a few times, I’m over it already.

Holm insists the comments are a sign of Rousey’s insecurity. “That’s kind of the new thing she’s been saying”, Holm told reporters Monday, according USA Today.

Holm will be the overwhelming underdog against Rousey but feels that she will handle anything that goes with her upsetting the champion in Melbourne.

One is Jiu-Jitsu, which should not be a hard transition since she did start out judo before and has been going up against fighters pretty much knowledgeable about it. And then there is boxing, which should be a whole lot interesting if you think about the exchanges that she and Floyd Mayweather Jr. have had a few time back.

Holm, who switched to MMA in 2011, is a two-time RING Magazine female boxer of the year with a 32-2-3 record.

On her nervous demeanor: “I am always nervous, it doesn’t matter what fight it is. It is natural. I know I have big things ahead of me”.

When Ronda Rousey graciously decides to open up about her sex life and dole out love-life tips, the world listens. Correia infuriated Rousey with a tasteless pre-fight remark that she would make Rousey want to “kill herself”.

But Holm has designs on a bigger prize – and greater glory – than that.
