Colts’ comeback falls just short, lose to Panthers 29-26 in OT
The Carolina Panthers blew a 17-point fourth-quarter lead before coming back to beat the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football.

Cam Newton was 16 of 35 for 248 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.
After the teams traded overtime field goals, Carolina linebacker Luke Kuechly’s interception of Andrew Luck gave the Panthers the ball at the Colts’ 39 in the sudden-death portion of the extra session and Gano did the rest. The kick was perfectly down the middle to pull the Colts within four, 10-6.
The playcalling can certainly stand to be better, as the Colts should utilize more of the hurry-up concepts that they did late in the fourth quarter that worked.
“It was tough on both quarterbacks early on from the weather standpoint in trying to throw the football”, Colts coach Chuck Pagano said. Carolina has won 11 straight regular-season games dating to past year. The sign was in Panthers team colors.
Olsen led the team with six receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown, while Ginn Jr. tallied two receptions for 60 yards.
Luck’s next three passes were incomplete before a fourth-down conversion. Luck remained cool under pressure, capping off an eight-play drive with an eight-yard touchdown pass to tight end Coby Fleener ’12.
Andre Johnson had a productive game – his second of the season – catching four passes for 81 yards and a score.
And that look on Gore’s face said he’s seen enough. [Jansen] waving at me as he was waiting to snap the ball. I don’t know if we can get much deeper into this without knowing what Luck is thinking, but he’s making poor decisions.
Either way, the Colts dropped a 29-26 overtime decision to the Carolina Panthers, leaving Indianapolis at 3-5 at the midway point of this utterly disappointing season, devoid of answers and facing the possibility of plunging to deeper depths from which they can not escape.
“All your goals are still obtainable, but it doesn’t make this loss any easier to swallow”, Luck said.

“(Our defense) kept us in it and gave us a chance to win it”, Luck said. Here are three things we learned.
