Pochettino has clear idea about type of players he wants at Tottenham

Pochettino’s comments echo those of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who said during the World Cup that he admired how rugby was more of a collective sport than football, which is more individualistic.

The end of the season could be when Kane leaves White Hart Lane, especially if Mauricio Pochettino’s side fail to qualify for the Champions League, as a player of his calibre will be looking to play in the biggest competitions.

Additionally, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has made it clear he does not want to sell Kane, who was back on the goal trail with a hattrick against Bournemouth last Sunday.

“When things in football are good or bad, it is important to keep working hard and that was the key for him to start scoring again”. This is our first game of the season.

“I smile because the rumours are always there”, Pochettino is quoted as saying by the London Evening Standard. This is very important.

“I think it’s what the gaffer expects – a great atmosphere in the team, a great mentality, a working mentality and we need to be ready to win all together, to suffer all together, to learn from defeats together”. When you have quality like he does you have to push him and try to improve his game.

“But I’m very pleased with him and the whole team”.

Alli scored on a shot from the center of the box by placing it into the bottom left corner in the 45th minute.

Early on in the season it was suggested by a few that Harry Kane was a flash in the pan – a one season wonder that would struggle for goals in his second season in the Premier League.

Jordan Ayew had given Villa hope when the substitute’s 79th-minute strike made it 2-1, but Kane wrapped up the win in injury time with his fourth goal in two games.
