The countdown continues: five new character posters for Star Wars: The Force Awakens have been unveiled ahead of the film’s December release.

It’s a touching, and heartbreaking story, and one that’s already swept the Internet thanks to community attention.

Disney is yet to confirm whether they were aware of Fleetwood’s request, and whether they would grant his dying wish.

He’s hoping to get a sneak preview of the film, and his cause has gone viral, with people all over the world tweeting #ForceforDaniel, including Mark Hamill, John Boyega, and Peter Mayhew.

We really hope it works out, and we urge our readers to pitch in.

Millions of “Star Wars” fans are making plans to go see “The Force Awakens” when the eagerly-anticipated seventh Star Wars movie opens December 18.

Fleetwood is resting at home, together with his wife Ashley, who posted her husband’s wishes on her Facebook page. Newcomer Boyega plays ex-Stormtrooper Finn in the upcoming film and has been widely featured in the movie’s new poster and trailer.

While Fleetwood believes that his desire to see Episode VII has inspired him to hang on up to this point, he says his time is running out. He arranged for film buff Daniel Craft, of New York, to see “Star Trek Into Darkness” – which Abrams also directed – before it hit theaters. In a recent Q&A video for Vanity Fair, the helmer teased the record producer, saying, “Yes Jimmy, I’ll show you the movie before it comes out”.
