Honor smartphones to receive Android M update by February 2016
Huawei has come out a list of smart phones which will get Android Marshmallow last October, but so far only the Honor line of smart phones has received a more definite time frame. This means that the update will just be for India-based phones until further notice. The list of devices declared by the company’s officials to receive the update facility includes, Huawei Mate S, Huawei Mate 7, Huawei P8, P8 Youth Edition, P8 Max, Maimagn 4, G7 Plus, G7, Honor 7, Honor 7i, 6 Plus, Honor 6, Honor X2, Honor 4X, Honor Play 4C. There are a few instances where the update will not launch on a few devices at all.

Huawei is in development to offer an upgraded experience on its existing Honor smartphone lineup. The update will be available to all the latest Honor series handsets, including the affordable Honor 4C and Honor 4X as well as the mid-ranger Honor 6, Honor 6 Plus and Honor 7.

Additionally, HTC also previously announced its update plans as it detailed devices that will update to Android Marshmallow 6.0 before the year ends. Fortunately, there are newer ones that run the updated version out of the box. They also said that the new firmware will roll out starting February 2016. Still, with Marshmallow’s “Doze” Mode, combined with Huawei’s excellent battery optimization tools, we could see even more incredible battery life from the Honor smartphones. “We are confident that this partnership will help us reach out to larger group of Honor smartphone fans”, Huawei India consumer business group VP (Sales) P Sanjeev told media people.
