Adele has shattered the record for the most downloads in a week with her new song, “Hello”. Hello also broke by a wide margin the feat for streaming. The singer has again topped the headlines for breaking another record that left everyone speechless.

Adele’s latest single, “Hello”, the lead off her forthcoming third studio album, 25, due for release later this November is her welcome back song after a three-year hiatus.

The ballad was released October 23, and scored 1.1 million downloads in its first week, according to Billboard.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, the Academy-Award victor declared that during her absence since 2011’s 21, she’s been somewhat out of the loop in regards to music and pop culture.

“Hello’ is as much about regrouping with myself, reconnecting with myself”. “That sounds so stupid, coming from me, doesn’t it?”

Adele’s new album will essentially be about growing up, making amends with the past – another subject we can all relate to aside from heart break.

“When I have nothing to say, I’d rather just not talk”. During the single’s second week, it sold 1.2 million copies. It doesn’t take over my life, but I have a yearning for myself from, like, 10 years ago when my only responsibility was writing songs for myself before anyone cared, and getting to school on time. “You know what I found so unbelievable about that record?”
