As the still vivid image of the Kansas City Royals celebrating on his home field blurs with the passage of time, David Wright will look back on the 2015 World Series and smile.

The New York Mets acquired Yoenis Cespedes to be a difference-maker in their run toward the National League pennant. The Amazin’s became the first team in major league history to reach the World Series after being last in runs scored in MLB on July 31.

Flores, who played shortstop for the majority of this season, had a triple slash of.263/.295/.408 to go along with 16 home runs.

The Mets made damn fools of themselves in the World Series.

“Actually I don’t, I’ve been a huge Mets fan my whole life”. His true value lied with his bat.

Despite the mistake-ridden ending in the World Series, the Mets had a great run.

Vigneault fielded a couple of questions about the Mets’ World Series loss after practice on Monday; mainly whether he’d ever wanted to pull a player from a game and changed his mind after said player refused.

Two agents told the Daily News this week that Cespedes could be get as much as $150 million over six years on the open market and Cespedes has said he wants a six-year contract.

They have several young building block under team control, but they’ll face issues in center field and the middle infield if Cespedes and Daniel Murphy sign elsewhere.

The confident fan said he had been thinking of getting a team tattoo for a while. After the trade deadline, Cespedes went on an incredible tear and was almost impossible to get out. Wayne McDonnell, the academic chair at NYU’s Tisch Institute of Sports Management, Media and Business, researched a series of financial metrics tracing back to 1967, the year after Marvin Miller took over the players’ union and set about transforming baseball’s economics.

Unfortunately since late-September, Cespedes has been declining and has not come near his tremendous MVP-like numbers since then.

Yoenis Cespedes motionless in Game 5 of the World Series. Early on, he was swinging on every pitch, no matter how far it was out of the strike zone. He had one good game against the Dodgers, and one good game against the Cubs, but has done almost nothing against the Royals. “The confidence will be high, but we’ve definitely got to continue to do a few work and get after it”.

The Mets opted for Cespedes.

Still, the GM knows the Mets need offense, especially if their 3-4 hitters in the postseason don’t return. These toxic feelings could only be exacerbated by a cult of Murphy, a growing fan base that lauds him as the Mets’ savior.
