Jurgen Klopp recognises need for new goalkeeper; Liverpool target Marc

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is believed to have told the club that he is keen to sign Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, according to Sport, as reported by the Metro.

Klopp wanted to sign ter Stegen from Borussia Monchengladbach, but he chose to move to Barcelona instead.

The 23-year-old wasn’t handed much of a chance in La Liga by Luis Enrique, but the young German was the Catalans’ goalkeeper for the Champions League; a competition which Barca won to complete their treble.

Meanwhile, it’s not all good news for Liverpool fans on the transfer front.

He’d come out of his box and approached the touchline to rein in a long ball, but BATE striker Dmitri Mozolevski came charging up faster than expected to put pressure on Ter Stegen.

The Belgian has been fighting to save his Anfield career since last December and, barring the occasional top class save, is doing little to convince people he’s the right man for the job moving forward.

The Barcelona keeper then pulled out a slick move to evade the opposing player and kick-start a counter-attack for his team.
