West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic is optimistic about his side’s chances of getting a good result against Everton at the weekend.

“Sakho is out. It’s nothing major, he felt something after training last week and he has a small tear in his thigh”, Bilic said.

Winston Reid returns to the squad against the Toffees, while Alex Song will play a friendly against Charlton next week as he steps up his return from an ankle operation in the summer.
When quizzed over the potential signing, Bilic said: “We will see in January, but they are just rumours”.
But while the 28-year-old won’t be ready to give Bilic a midfield boost in Saturday’s Barclays Premier League clash against Everton, he will start in a training ground friendly on Wednesday next week.
“He’s ok, there’s no problem whatsoever and now a matter of fitness and match fitness”. He dictates the rhythm of the game a lot, with his pace, quality and determination and the way he harasses defenders. “But it’s not a major set-back”.
West Ham’s away form, in particular, has been excellent this season, with only a 2-0 defeat at Watford on Saturday ending a run of five consecutive wins on the road.

“They are full of confidence, but so are we because we are a team who are playing well and will be at home”. “Obviously in our last game we played badly and lost at Watford but we know why we lost that game”.
