A “Star Wars” superfan battling terminal cancer is asking Disney to grant one last wish: To let him see the new “Star Wars” film before he passes away.
That surprise turned out to be his character’s – Finn – own poster for The Force Awakens.
John Boyega as Finn holding up his blue lightsaver.
Daisy, 23, who portrays Rey, shared the image of her holding her staff defiantly in her poster, with the caption: “It is my very great honour to reveal this INSANELY EXCITING poster for The Force Awakens!!!!”. It stars Hamill, Boyega, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Lupita Nyong’o, and several others.
The hype around the new Star Wars movie has stepped up a notch, with posters featuring Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) and Harrison Ford (Han Solo) reprising their roles from the original 1977 movie released on social media. There are green orb lights covering a few of her face but we still notice an ear piece that looks like the old Bluetooth earpieces.
It’s hard to figure out the timeline of the Star Wars story, what with all the sequels and prequels that were released. Han Solo’s poster shows him holding up his signature DL-44 blaster, which he famously used to shoot Greedo (first).
We’ve seen the official poster as drawn up by legendary artist Drew Struzan, which gave us a nice glimpse of the overall universe of The Force Awakens. We’re not seeing any obvious new clues as to what to expect when the film hits theaters, but the posters are exciting nonetheless.
