Prosecutors said he will also face drug charges because six baggies of marijuana were found on him when he was arrested at Miami Jackson High School.

Miami Police impounded the firearm and arrested the student.

Police said the teen got out of the vehicle, pointed a gun at the bicyclist and said “don’t move”.

The victim managed to run away and called police.

Authorities said an ongoing investigation involving a 6-year-old boy and his father found dead in the back of a pickup truck in Florida City is connected to that of a woman’s body found inside a Hialeah apartment. Police discovered the firearm after taking the student into custody and patting him down, a source familiar with the incident said.

Police said he admitted to purchasing the firearm in the street.

The Miami Herald (http://goo.gl/ke3RFM ) reports that the teen was already facing charges of aggravated assault with a weapon and using a weapon while committing a felony.
