BJP leader advises Shah Rukh Khan to move to Pakistan

The ruling BJP, left fumbling and red-faced by senior leader Kailash Vijayvargiya’s tweet attack on Shah Rukh Khan, now faces more controversy with party lawmaker Yogi Adityanath comparing the popular actor with 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed of Pakistan.

A few politician whose name I don’t know proved exactly what Shah Rukh Khan said about our country growing alarmingly intolerant when the aforementioned neta accused Shah Rukh’s heart to belong to Pakistan, and called him, gulp, a desh drohi. He further added that the country is very tolerant and the country’s minority community too is very tolerant.

King Khan had joined the debate swirling around “intolerance” on his 50th birthday, when he told a leading news channel that there was “nothing worse than religious intolerance and that it would take India to the Dark Ages”. It’s shocking to me. While the mystery behind naming him as Aryan Khanna is not yet revealed, interestingly Shah Rukh Khan’s elder son’s name happens to be Aryan Khan. “He should raise his voice on the anniversary of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots and the Mirchpur or Gohana incidents”. The attack against Shah Rukh by the two BJP leaders came notwithstanding the refrain of BJP’s top brass in the recent weeks that partymen avoid sensitive comments.

“Talking about justification when such improper statements are made and you are continually provoked, then you grow a certain amount of annoyance and people have their own style of speaking”, she said.

In the meantime, he said, “Respect those who returned awards, but I don’t have to”.

Actor Anupam Kher also came out in support of Shah Rukh Khan.

Motor-mouth Hindu rights activist termed Shah Rukh a “Pakistani agent”. “I will answer that question”. But the actor says that he does not think that his children need to become actors.

Kailash Vijayvargiya said his suggestion that Khan’s “soul is in Pakistan” had been misconstrued. He even supported the FTII students and spoke about how humiliating it was to have to prove one’s patriotism. “We will never be a superpower in the event that we are not going to trust that all religions are equal”, he included.
