He is now set to make his college decision on November 12th in Turner Gymnasium. Giles Jr., said his son still plans to announce his decision on what school he’ll attend, on Friday from Oak Hill Academy (Virginia) at noon ET on SportsCenter.
This injury is not only unfortunate for Harry Giles, but it is also unfortunate for the slim chances that Wake Forest may have had of actually gaining the commitment from the Winston-Salem product.
Wake Forest, Duke and Kentucky are considered the favorites in his recruiting.
Duke, Kansas and Kentucky are among his top pursuers, according to 247Sports, but the nature of his injury suggests he may not necessarily be ready to play right away as a freshman.
Harry Giles has already suffered a high school player’s fair share of poor injury luck, but the No. 1 2016 recruit and Oak Hill Academy star suffered yet another setback on Tuesday. One look at his highlight reel shows you why college and National Basketball Association scouts are eager to get him.
Harry Giles will commit to a school this week.
