By taking home a trio of Country Music Awards in 2015, Chris Stapleton announced his arrival at the next country music star. Like a coming out party. “Who knows? But we’re going to have a good time”. “So we’re just very, very [grateful] for a team that believed in that and got behind a insane concept like that”.

Stapleton has contributed to the soundtracks of 2010’s Country Strong and 2010’s Valentine’s Day. “I don’t have enough adjectives to get there, but it’s a wonderful feeling”. I’ve worked hard a lot of years to do this. “It’s a short answer, but it’s a real one”, Stapleton said.
The CMA Awards brought out so many stunning stars! It’s been my most enjoyable year from A to Z. And while Album of the Year is a biggie, Male Vocalist of the Year came as the biggest shock, both to Stapleton and to viewers. “It will be an incredible night”.
While Little Big Town may go home with more top awards, they’re not up for the biggest honour: entertainer of the year. “I don’t like to put things in a box all the time”, he told RS of his music range.
His winning album of the year, “Traveller” is his first solo album and was released earlier this year. “So it’s cool that people are loving our perspective”.

Before going country, Stapleton made a name for himself as lead singer of The SteelDrivers, a bluegrass band nominated for three Grammys back in 2010.
