Seven celebrity contestants have already been cut from the roster: Singer Andy Grammer, online star Hayes Grier, chef Paula Deen, Gary Busey, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” co-star Kim Zolciak Biermann, Triple Crown-winning jockey Victor Espinoza and singer Chaka Khan.
Irwin, Braxton, Skarlatos and Alexa were safe in week 8, while Carlos and Carson and Grammer and Holker were in jeopardy.
For the first time this season, the couple with the highest score from their solo dance will be granted immunity from elimination next week and will also receive 3 additional points.
The latest episode featured two rounds of dancing from the couples: an individual routine and a dance-off between two pairs, according to Wall Street Journal. Their efforts got them 25 points from the judges.
