Italian sailors rescue puppy lost at sea
An adorable Labrador named Noodle was rescued by a group of Italian sailors from the RYCC Savoia yacht club after they spotted him swimming alone in the Gulf on Naples, last month. The images and video were captured and uploaded by sailors with a yacht club based in Naples.

You might expect to see a shark or whale out in the middle of the sea, but a puppy desperately swimming to nowhere is not a sight sailors are accustomed to. Sailor Massimiliano Cappa described the rescue of the puppy: “We approached, we were sailing and maneuvering was not easy”. The dog was visibly exhausted, and his legs were almost paralyzed from the cold. The sailors used a heat dryer to warm up the puppy once they were on shore. “He trembled and wept”.
Mr Meglio said he alerted the ferry’s crew but they did not stop, assuming the puppy had already drowned.

Noodles was later reunited with his owner, who had filed a missing pet report with the police. The ferry had continued on to its destination as the dog swam around hopelessly.
