Swansea City 0-3 Arsenal: Arsene Wenger delighted with Gunners’ edgy but
The Swans took six points off Arsenal last season, but the north London outfit coped with the early pressure from Garry Monk’s men and ensured that there would be no repeat of last term’s agony.

“They did it in winning 3-0 at Watford a fortnight ago and they did again in south Wales on Saturday, riding the difficulties of a close first half before pounding Swansea into the dirt”. Well, the answer to those questions might take a few more months but Arsenal surely seems like the only team at the moment that can challenge Manchester City for the Premier League crown. I don t think Arsenal deserved that win, we gave it to them.
“But in the second half, we played with greater tempo and our passing was much better. After we scored the first goal, it was all us and there was only one victor on the pitch”. Can Arsenal really win the Premier League title?
“Let’s not forget he is still a young player”, Wenger said of a player who has spent most of his Arsenal career on loan at various European clubs.
After the break, the visitors took control of proceedings and scored the opener on 49 minutes as Giroud rose highest at a Mesut Ozil corner to head past Fabianski.
Arsene Wenger has revealed it is “now or never” for forward Joel Campbell at Arsenal.
With goal difference being the only thing separating Arsenal and Manchester City for 1st place in the Premier League standings, it was critical for Arsenal to get a win against Swansea City. I think he can be a big help for us, and he can play center forward as well don’t forget that.
Speaking on the BBC’s Match of the Day show on Sunday, Hartson said that Wenger will need to dip into the transfer market to land a striker and a centre-back when the window re-opens in the New Year.
After an unmarked Olivier Giroud had headed Arsenal in front, Laurent Koscielny doubled their lead as he seized on an error from Swansea’s former Gunners goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski. “I don’t want to put that label on them”, he said.
And Wenger is optimistic that they can remain in the hunt for the remainder of the season.
“The first two goals were mistakes from ourselves, and you can’t do that against any team, especially a team like Arsenal”.

“We knew that in the second half we needed to up our pace, our decisiveness, our determination”.
