President Obama Skewers GOP on Debate Complaints
But now they are trying to parlay this into a series of velvet glove, softball question events, which amount to free air time for the GOP campaigns.

Last week Sen. Lindsey Graham told ABC News he favors two evenly divided debates so that every candidate gets a fair shot. They meeting arose in the wake of last week’s CNBC Republican presidential debate, which was widely panned by the candidates and Republican officials.
“Let me tell you, if you can’t handle those guys then I don’t think the Chinese and the Russians are going to be too anxious about it”, Obama said during a Democratic fundraiser, drawing laughter and applause from a crowd of more than 1,300.
“You wouldn’t say, ‘Aah, that’s – that’s a conspiracy, they’re making that up”.
Carson spokesman Doug Watts said more than 10 candidates are expected to sign a letter outlining their demands.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, Dr. Ben Carson, Senator Ted Cruz and others criticized the journalists who served as moderators during the debate. Representatives from at least a dozen Republican campaigns huddled over the weekend without the RNC to talk about possible changes, perhaps even presenting their demands directly to the networks and cutting out the party altogether.
“I don’t really care that much”, Trump said.
“I’m happy to have as many debates as we can”, he said in an interview Wednesday.
“I just want to answer the questions and be done with it. Frankly we’re doing well”, he replied.
Typical to form, Donald Trump broke with the rest of the the field, saying that he planned to negotiate with the individual networks himself.
“We’re disappointed that Trump doesn’t want to get involved”, Watts said. They came out with a joint letter demanding changes including a mandatory 2-hour limit to each debate and no yes-or-no questions.
Of all media actors commenting on this debate debate, Kelly has the standing to whack away at this absurd Republican debate draft.
