An adorable baby goat named GusGus was smuggled out of the fairgrounds Wednesday night, prompting an Internet sensation after his photo was posted online by fair officials seeking his return.
Custard had been looking for him and calling out to him, hoping he’ll come running back to her.
The mysterious kid-napping ordeal that began on November 4 and lasted for 20 harrowing hours and continuous sharing and communication via Arizona State Fair’s Facebook page ended on November 5 when the three week old pygmy goat, GusGus, was picked up 25 miles away from the Fair and left at a PetSmart store in Glendale. “He’s so little”, said Megan Zimbelman, who was there with her high school classmates.
Someone took tiny GusGus from his pen Wednesday evening. The kidnapping sparked disbelief and legions of followers on social media who helped make the missing animal a hot topic. Now GusGus is back with Custard who is happily nursing her kid again.
